3 Ways to Kick The Monday Blues


Oh, the dreaded Monday morning. For some reason, Monday has always gotten a bad rap. It's the day that seems to last forever, and we count down the hours until it's over. Well, I'm here to tell you, Mondays don't have to be so bad. I think we can all turn it around and take advantage of the day, and really allow it to kick start our week. Read on to learn three ways you can kick the Monday blues. 

  1. Treat yo'self - OK. I'm all about saving money, but sometimes you need a little jump start to your day, and treating yourself to a nice cup of coffee or tea from your favorite cafe can but just the cure. Another idea? Try waking up a few minutes early to cook yourself a proper breakfast, and give yourself time to relax in the morning before you tackle the day.
  2. Plan your week - Planning your schedule ahead of time can help you kickstart a productive week. When you sit down to work on Monday morning, you'll feel much more organized and won't be stressed about what you have to get done. Take a few minutes on Sunday night to write down your to-do's and for a bonus, give yourself the freedom to plan a fun activity that you can look forward to! 
  3. Look good, feel good - I've always loved the saying, "dress for the job you want." Just like positive affirmations work to achieve a goal, the same can go for how you look. When you are wearing an outfit that makes you feel good, you can boost your confidence which helps you feel ready to make your Monday a successful one! Another tip, try to fit a workout in the morning. As Elle Woods said, "Exercise gives you endorphins, and endorphins make you happy!" So true Elle, so true.
